The Texas Equity PAC (TEPAC) is a state and local political action committee that seeks to elect pro-equality public officials at the state and local level. Its activities include public endorsement of candidates and may also include financial contributions to candidate campaigns. By law, it is prohibited from participating in federal races. TEPAC focuses its resources in contests:(1) that have the potential to shift the makeup and tone of the executive, legislative, and judicial bodies of state government, and (2) where we believe our involvement will impact electoral results. As a result, TEPAC typically engages intensively in a small number of strategic races rather than broadly endorsing every pro-equality candidate.
